Steven M. Whittle, DVM
Dr. Whittle is originally from Louisville, KY. He earned a Bachelor of Animal Science Degree from the University of Kentucky, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University. He has been in practice since 1990, and is the proud owner of Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic since 1998. He purchased the practice from his retired partners, Dr. Johnson and Dr. Wylie, who started the practice in 1971. Steve's practice philosophy is "what would I do if this were my pet?" and his pets are his children! Steve is married to his lovely wife and business partner, Fran, who he met in 1987 while attending Auburn University. They have been happily married since 1991. They have a beautiful daughter, Lillie, born in 2001, twin boys Noah and Morgan born in 2003, and another daughter, Annie, born in 2008. The Whittle family has an adorable and energetic Golden Retriever named "Charlie Cat" and they have a cat that Charlie picked out as a kitten named Percy.

Jenine C. Minicozzi, DVM
Dr. Minicozzi has been with Paces Ferry since May of 2002. She is a native of Atlanta and received both her Bachelor of Science in Biology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. Dr. Minicozzi has a son named Jack and a daughter named Mia. She also has a chocolate Labrador named "Spike" and a chihuahua named "Frida." and a cat named "Vesper."

Gina Marguriet Beer, DVM
Dr. Beer received her Bachelor Degree in Biological Science as well as her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. Her special areas of interest include endocrinology, animal behavior, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Beer and her husband Daniel live in Atlanta with their two daughters. She has two cats named Link and Smegal, and two retriever mixes named Reese and Shiva. She enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and watching Pittsburgh Steelers football with her family.

Kelly B. Warner, DVM
Dr. Warner received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Colby College in Waterville, Maine in 2002. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Following graduation, Dr. Warner completed a one year rotating internship at Georgia Veterinary Specialists. Her areas of interest include internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Warner lives in Smyrna with her husband Nick, daughter Cara, sons Colin and Sean, and their cat Zoe. In her free time she enjoys running, hiking, traveling with her family, and taking her kids to the Zoo.

Cary Clark Mackey, DVM
Dr. Mackey was born and raised in Tidewater Virginia. She followed her family roots to the Deep South for college and veterinary school receiving her Bachelor of Science in Zoology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University. Her special interests include surgery, feline medicine and dermatology. While at Auburn, Dr. Mackey met a fellow die-hard Tiger, Andrew Mackey, and they married after her graduation from veterinary school. They decided to make Atlanta their first home city together and share their new home with their cats "Beau" and "Aero."

Laura D. Hardeman, DVM
Dr Hardeman received her bachelor degree in Animal Sciences as well as her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University. She worked at Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic as an assistant before going to Veterinary school. Her interests are surgery and geriatric medicine. Dr. Hardeman shares her home with her fluffy Maltese Mia, Grimace and her cat Zoe. She enjoys going hiking.
